About
Pragmatic Frontier is a Super Intelligence organization that applies AI/SI research to near-future products.
Our work spans decision models, personal systems, and new ways to measure intelligence. We are interested in models that know when to decide and when to defer to systems that learn in the open, and interfaces that make uncertainty useful.
Our aim is to put frontier capabilities to work on problems that require judgment, which means moving between research, prototypes, and the small details tied to everyday use.
Role
Work across research and engineering to turn AI models into systems that hold up in everyday use.
Take a model from an experiment, build the system around it, and follow it through to something that runs outside the lab. Work may move between a model, the system that serves it, and the record of what it decided. You’ll need to test what happens when the data shifts, or the model should defer, and find failure modes before they reach a live system.
We want engineers who can think through the whole system and care about how it behaves once it is live.
Process
Share a short introduction, links to relevant work, and a system problem you want to explore.
Show us how you think. Relevant work could be a system you shipped, a model you put into use, or a failure that changed your mind. We are interested in the decisions behind the system, more than we’re interested in the system.
